SAARC labor ministers to meet in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, Feb 4: A two-day meeting of labor ministers of SAARC region is to be held in Kathmandu from May 3 to make a common concept for the protection of migrant workers.

According to the Foreign Employment Promotion Board, labor and employment ministries and high-government officials of the countries sending workers for overseas employment would participate in the meeting.


Assistant Director at the Board, Dipendra Poudel, told that the meeting would prepare a common concept regarding rights, welfare and security of migrant workers of the SAARC region.

The meeting is going to be held for the first time Nepal. RSS
