Chhetri, who currently plays for Armed Police Force, debuted in the national side in 2009. She was the captain of Nepali U-19 women´s team that completed title hat-trick in the ACC U-19 Women´s Championship held in Kuwait earlier this year.
Chhetri was the player-of-the-final and the player-of-the-series during the tournament.
"I´m happy to get the opportunity to lead the national side and it obviously adds responsibility on me," said Chhetri.
Thapa and Rajopadhyaya are also included in the team, which would be coached by Shyamson Jung Thapa.
"I´m happy to lead the national side which includes two former captains and their presence would help me to make right decisions," said newly appointed captain. "Every player is equally important for the team and the presence of seniors would boost our morale," she added.
