RAUTAHAT, Jan 21: Rautahat Police nabbed a fake currency racket in connection with their involvement in printing and marketing of fake currency notes.
They have also seized fake currency notes of a total of Rs 50,000 with denominations Rs 500 and 1000 from them along with a note-printing machine hidden under ground.
How the incident unfolded?
According to Rautahat police, they arrested Ram Prabesh Yadav of Gaur-9 initially in connection with consuming illegal contraband Marijuana.
Police bust fake driving license racket
Police recovered a fake currency note of denomination of Rs. 1000 from him. During a police interrogation, he told police that he got that note from Jugal Mahato of Gaur-7.
Acting on information provided by Yadav, Police nabbed Mahato. Police also recovered fake currency notes of Rs 45,000 from him with denominations of Rs 500 and 1000.
Mahato, however, told police that he was only the marketer of the fake currency notes. He, however, leaked the name of Narayan Chaudhary of the fake currency racket to police.
Based on the Mahato’s information, police nabbed Chaudhary of Sakhuwa-2 with fake currency of Rs 35,000.
In line with information provided by Chaudhary, police able to arrest Oshim Mohammed of Chandrapur-15.
Acting on the information provided by Oshim Mohammed, police finally reached the masatermind of the fake currency racket and nabbed
Indian national Abhay Kumar Sah of Champaran, India and Manoj Mahato of Dhanusha.
Police nabbed a total of six people in connection with the fake currency racket and recovered a note-printing machine from the house of Narayan Chaudhary.
