KATHMANDU, March 1: With an aim to help the affected communities of Sindhupalchowk district recover from the devastating earthquake, Global Shapers Kathmandu Hub has rebuilt a completely destroyed health post in the district.
The organization has completed reconstruction of Indrawati Jana Sewa Health Post at Tipeni in the district in late December. The reconstructed health post was formally inaugurated on Monday by eight-year-old Karishma Tamang, who was critically injured in the earthquake but has fully recovered.
The eight-year-old was airlifted after the earthquake and was provided full treatment free of cost at the Army Hospital.According to the organization, the health post is now fully equipped with a birthing center and medical rooms for on-site health practitioners to conduct routine checkups. It would provide service to over 40,000 people from 10 VDCs.
District Public Health Officer Manglala Manandhar said the health post would provide much-needed relief to the locals
