BIRGUNJ, March 11: With an aim to provide platform for students and young minds to contribute in community building, Sano Paila has launched a year-long “Engagement Through Partnership: Students As Partners in Community Building” project through its Youth Community Services Center on Thursday.

The project would reach out to undergraduate students in eight districts of central Tarai-Madhesh region - Parsa, Bara, Rautahat, Sarlahi, Mahottari, Dhanusha, Siraha and Saptari to generate awareness regarding ownership and sense of belonging in community development.

Over 100 youths from the region will be selected to undergo internship and trainings to build interconnections, collaboration and positive changes through the forum, youth and students clubs, information centers, social activities, seminars, mentorships, advocacy, peer-education and awareness programs, states a press statement issued by Sano Paila.

According to the press release, they will organize interaction sessions, trainings, field works, and recruitment sessions that will build avenues for experiential learning for effective community service and personal growth.

“The project will specifically seek to decrease information gap, education gap and the generation gap that exist between youths and society,” said Kancha Jha, CEO and founder of Sano Paila.
