KATHMANDU, April 28: Nava Raj Subedi, the coordinator of the pro-monarchy movement that took place in Tinkune on March 28, claimed that the incident on that day was a result of the government's actions.
He made this statement on Monday while addressing a gathering organized by Kamal Thapa-led Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal in Kathmandu.

“One month ago, the incident that occurred in Tinkune was ruthless, cruel, and a step taken by a tyrannical government,” Subedi said. “Before the program even began, as the national anthem was being played, indiscriminate gunfire was fired, tear gas was thrown, and so on. The whole world knows about that.”
Subedi said that at that time, there was an attempt to portray royalists as the perpetrators of oppression. He said, “At that time, they tried to show that we royalists were the ones committing atrocities. But yesterday, it was confirmed in the teachers' protest how oppressive this government truly is.”
