Prez, PM extend best wishes to Sri Lanka

KATHMANDU, Feb 4: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has extended cordial felicitations and best wishes to President Mr Maithripala Sirisena of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka on the occasion of the Independence Day of Sri Lanka.

In a message of best wishes Thursday, President Bhandari wished for the Sri Lankan President's personal health and happiness and for the progress and prosperity of the people of Sri Lanka.


Similarly, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli extended sincere congratulations to Mr. Ranil Wickremesinghe, Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, on the same occasion.

In a message to his Sri Lankan counterpart, PM Oli, on behalf the government and people of Nepal and on his own congratulated the Sri Lankan PM and through him the people of Sri Lanka for happiness and prosperity.

PM Oli also expressed the confidence that the friendly relations existing between Nepal and Sri Lanka will grow further in the years ahead. RSS
