Two arrested for defrauding people of Rs 1.75 million

They are Rupesh Lamichhane, 35, of Panchkhal municipality-3 in Kavrepalanchowk and Hira Tamang, 35, of Khaneba rural municipality-3 in Dhading, shared Spokesperson of the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Superintendent of Police Rameshwor Karki.

KATHMANDU, Feb 6: Police have arrested two persons on the charge of cheating people of Rs 1.75 million, luring them of employment in Australia and Slovakia. 



They are Rupesh Lamichhane, 35, of Panchkhal municipality-3 in Kavrepalanchowk and Hira Tamang, 35, of Khaneba rural municipality-3 in Dhading, shared Spokesperson of the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Superintendent of Police Rameshwor Karki.

Lamichhane and Tamang were arrested on the basis of the complaints filed at police administration. Lamichhane had cheated Rs 900,000 under the pretext of sending a person to Australia while Tamang defrauded Rs 850,000 from a person, promising him a job in Slovakia. 


Both of them have been sent to the Department of Foreign Employment, Tahachal, today itself for necessary investigation and action, added Karki.
