RSP chair Rabi Lamichhane set to visit India

He will travel at the invitation of India’s Ministry of External Affairs and is scheduled to hold high-level meetings with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, among others.

KATHMANDU, May 24: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) chair Rabi Lamichhane is set to visit India on June 1 for a two-day official trip, according to party sources.



He will travel at the invitation of India’s Ministry of External Affairs and is scheduled to hold high-level meetings with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, among others.

Lamichhane is also expected to meet leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during the visit. The trip is being viewed as politically significant given current Nepal–India relations and recent high-level diplomatic exchanges.
