Police rescue man attempting self-immolation on Facebook live in Chandragiri

During the live on social media, he mentioned that he could no longer bear the injustice he had faced. He expressed his anger towards the administration and society.

KATHMANDU, March 12: A person who attempted self-immolation by setting himself on fire during a Facebook live broadcast last night in Chandragiri, Kathmandu, has been rescued. Police immediately rescued Uttam Karki, who attempted to self-immolate at around 12:30 AM and rushed him to Kirtipur Burn Hospital.


According to police, his hands and face were burned, but his condition is stable. During the live on social media, he mentioned that he could no longer bear the injustice he had faced. He expressed his anger towards the administration and society. Police have started an investigation into the incident.
