KATHMANDU, Dec 9: Sudan Gurung, a leader of the Gen-Z movement, met with Prime Minister Sushila Karki at the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers’ office in Singha Durbar.
During the meeting, Gurung expressed interest in the ongoing agreement process between the government and the protest group. He emphasized the need to finalize the agreement immediately to grant official recognition and legitimacy to the Gen-Z movement.

Gurung also proposed that the agreement be signed before the President at Sheetal Niwas.
In the discussion, he highlighted that some youths involved in the movement had been detained by police, and due to lack of bail, were forced to remain in custody, drawing the Prime Minister’s serious attention.
“Some youths were arrested simply for participating in the movement. Many had to remain in detention because they couldn’t pay the bail demanded by the court,” Gurung said, urging the government to facilitate those caught up in legal complications.
