KATHMANDU, June 16: A young man has gone missing after being swept away by the Karnali River while bathing in Dailekh district.
According to police, the incident occurred in the Tarbazaar area of Chamunda Bindrasaini Municipality–7, where the victim, who was travelling from Mugu to Surkhet in a mini-truck, had stopped the vehicle by the roadside and entered the river to bathe.

The missing person has been identified as Nabin Rokaya, approximately 24, a co-driver from Jagadulla Rural Municipality in Dolpa district. He was reportedly swept away by the strong current of the river.
Police said the incident took place around 1 pm on Tuesday.
Following the report, a joint search operation has been launched involving Police Post Paltada, Police Post Tallodungeshwor, Area Police Office Dullu, and a hydropower security unit.
