BARDIYA, Nov 5: An unidentified group shot dead a person in bed at Gobrepuruwa, Badhaiyatal rural municipality-3 in the wee hours today. He is 35-year-old Mohan Khatik.
Mohan’s relative Ramsishan Sonkar said that five masked persons took Mohan under control at 1am and shot him in his left chest below the armpit. Sonkar had informed the police about the incident soon after that.

Khatik, who was critically injured in the incident, died while undergoing treatment at Nepalgunj Nursing Home.
The assailants have also looted Rs 500 thousand from Khatik’s house. Police Inspector at the Area Police Office, Mainapokhar, Laxman Oli, said that he has got the information about Khatik’s death but whether he died from gunshot or any other causes can be ascertained only after post mortem examination.
