People's votes will be respected: PM Oli

BHADRAPUR, Dec 31: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has given assurances that people's votes would be respected.

Inaugurating a concrete bridge constructed over the Kamal rivulet here today, Prime Minister Oli said that arrangement of food and shelter would be made as well as reconstruction of the damaged bridges carried out.


The bridge links Dharampur and Panchgachhi VDCs under Jhapa Constituency No 7.

Stating that Rs 15 million has been allocated this year to control flood at Kamal rivulet under the People's Embankment Programme, he said that the government has a plan to undertake the country's development in a different way by modernizing the agriculture.

The Prime Minister also expressed the commitment to blacktop all gravel roads which are in government's priority.

The 126.2 -meter-long and seven-metre wide bridge was constructed at a cost of Rs 489.6 million. RSS
