Peace process to conclude soon: PM

POKHARA, Dec 28: Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has claimed that the peace process will be taken to its logical conclusion and constitution will be promulgated within May 27, 2012.



Speaking at a function organized by the Kaski Chapter of Federation of Nepali Journalists, he claimed the peace and constitution writing processes disrupted for the last three years was forwarded by the government led by him.[break]



He said the processes, which seemed to have been disrupted for few days, has taken pace again. The major political parties have been holding serious discussions so that the remaining task of peace process will be concluded within a day of two, the prime minister said.



Dr. Bhattarai said the government has placed good governance and economic prosperity in the high priority, adding the government will bring an action plan for good governance and economic prosperity within few days.



He said the government is for press freedom and committed to work for the prosperity of journalism and working journalists.



On the occasion, Dr. Bhattarai honoured senior journalist Madhav Sharma with the Pokhara Journalism Award.
