Party leaders extend Merry Christmas, Udhauli wishes

KATHMANDU, Dec 25: Former Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala extended best wishes to the Christian community living in and outside of Nepal on the occasion of Christmas Day today.

In a best wishes message, he also wished for better health, peace, prosperity of all people following Christianity.


There are age-old mutual relations between people following different religions in Nepal having diversity of religions, castes and cultures, the statement reads.

Likewise, UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal extended their wishes to Christian community on the occasion, saying a new constitution has been issued from the Constituent Assembly which, he asserted, would bring better days for the Nepalis.

Former Prime Minister Dahal also wished the Kirant community good health, happiness and prosperity on the occasion of the Udhauli festival.

Similarly, NC Vice President Ram Chandra Poudel has greeted the Christians on the occasion of Christmas and the Kirant community on the occasion of Udhauli. RSS
