Over 7,000 trained human resource deployed by Red Cross

KATHMANDU, May 26: The Red Cross Society Nepal has deployed 7,709 trained human resources in the earthquake-hit districts and provided service to over 1.9 million affected people so far, according to a statement issued by the organization.

The statement reads that the society was actively involved in providing relief, primary health care and counseling to the earthquake victims. It operated 12 mobile health services in several areas and treated patients through six field hospitals.

Similarly, the organization distributed essential drugs among other stuffs as well as built temporary toilets for people living under the tents. According to the statement, the society provided the victims with over 66,000 tarpaulins and tents in the last one month.
