One house collapsed, 13 livestock dead in Baitadi landslide

BAITADI, Sept 1: A landslide coupled with heavy rain at Chaupata of Sunarya Rural Municipality-2 in Baitadi district buried a house, leaving at least 13 livestock dead on Sunday afternoon. 



The landslide damaged a two-storied house of Girish Chand, Police Inspector Balaram Pandey said.

According to Pandey, 90-year-old Godawari Chand was critically hurt in the incident. 


Buried inside the house after the landslide, the nonagenarian was rushed to the district hospital. The doctors referred her to Dadeldhura Hospital for further treatment. 


Likewise, 13 animals including cows and goats were also killed in the landslide.
