Like that of Maroon 5’s latest song “One More Night” and Chris Wallace’s “Remember When (Push Rewind)”.[break]
Some great songs have released in the past two weeks and they’re all listed here on Top Spin. But remember, when you get to listen to these songs, you got to pay attention to the lyrics!
Nicki Minaj – Pound The Alarm
You got to “Pound The Alarm” if you want to have some serious fun. Nicki Minaj continues to release songs from the newer version of her album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. The single “Pound The Alarm” is a fist-pumper that finds Minaj singing about filling her readying herself with drinks before hitting the dance floor.
According to her producer, RedOne, the single’s got the pop element but it’s got some hard-core dance underground elements. We say the sound of the alarm is just THUMPPING!

Justin Bieber featuring Ludacris – All Around The World
It feels like only few years ago, Justin Bieber was singing his teeny pop smash “Baby” with Ludacris and now the teen sensation has, yet again, collaborated with the rapper for the considerably mature R&B/Pop track “All Around The World” from his album Believe. When the duo reunited again, the Canadian singer said that he was now taller than Ludacris. The song is definitely going to make you want to dance!
Alicia Keys – New Day
After a gap of two years, Alicia Keys has emerged with a major release and a lot has changed for the songstress. With a new husband (Swizz Beatz) and a new baby, it should come as no surprise that her new track is titled “New Day”. Vocally Keys ups the energy, finding a balance between club hype and smooth R&B that is still the inspiring and uplifting Keys we all know and love.
Chris Wallace – Remember When (Push Rewind)
Chris Wallace’s debut release “Remember When (Push Rewind)” is the punchy kind of music that you can listen to when you’re running. The former front man of The White Tie Affair reveals the song was inspired by his first serious relationship which didn’t work out as his career was taking off. Despite the solemn story, Wallace wanted to give it a hard hitting optimistic undertone, hence, the upbeat and fun music resulting into a dance track. Must listen!
Maroon 5 – One More Night
After the success of “Payphone”, Maroon 5 are eyeing to score another hit from their 4th studio album Overexposed. It’s the Reggae tinged tune “One More Night” – the second cut from the set. Despite its sunny production, lyrically the track is quite dark with Adam Levine crooning lyrics about being guilt-ridden about his part in a dysfunctional relationship, but still wanting to spend “one more night” together.
B.o.B featuring Taylor Swift –Both of Us
There’s been no looking back for B.o.B since his breakthrough smash “Nothin’ On You” featuring Bruno Mars after it topped the Billboard Hot 100 charts. Currently, he’s riding the success of his 2nd album Strange Clouds. In his song “Both of Us” he’s tied up with high-profile Country/Pop cutie Taylor Swift. Perfect collaboration and beautiful lyrics!
Jedward – Young Love
Irish pop act Jedward are back with their third album “Young Love” and their first release is a track of the same name. The album has already shot to the top of the chart in their country and that’s fast! Gone are the bright jumpsuits, tacky routines, and the Euro-pop cheese. Here’s Jedward crooning about “Young Love”.
If the songs above aren’t enough for your audio pleasure, here are some more new releases you can perhaps lend your ears to!
Taio Cruz – World In Our Hands
Sophie Hawkins – Betchya Got A Cure
Tristan Prettyman – My Oh My
Eric Church – Springsteen
Kristina Maria feat. Corneille – Co-Pilot
