KATHMANDU, Feb 29: The new French Ambassador to Nepal, Yves Carmona, presented his credentials to the President of Nepal, Bidya Devi Bhandari, on Monday amid an official ceremony organized at the President's Office.
"It is an honor for me to be the French Ambassador to Nepal and I look forward to working with the Nepalese government in advancing Franco-Nepalese relationship to a higher level," said Ambassador Carmona on the occasion.
New French envoy presents credentials to president
Before arriving in Nepal, Ambassador Carmona served as French envoy to Laos from September 2012 until September 2015. He was appointed as counsellor in French embassy in Singapore and Tokyo before he was sent to lead the French mission in Laos.
Ambassador Carmona has also worked at France's Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Education. He has also taught in the French National School for Administration (ENA) as well as in the Institute for Political Studies in Paris.
