NC starts consultations to amend party PP statute

KATHMANDU, April 4: The Nepali Congress (NC) has started consultations to amend its parliamentary party statute.

NC is preparing to hold elections to the post of PP leader as the position remained vacant following the demise of NC President Sushil Koirala. The elections to the post of PP leader are scheduled for April 6 and the election to NC PP committee will take place on April 8.


NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba and senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel are vying for the post of PP leader.

Meanwhile, the NC leaders at the meeting of the parliamentary party committee on Monday said that the proposal to amend the statute will be sent to the party central working committee meeting to be held today itself for approval. RSS
