Tripathi, also former NC President of the village committee of Darechowk VDC in Chitwan, had gone missing since March 20.
Tripathi's family members said that he had stepped out of the house on March 20, saying that he would go to Trishuli River to take a bath.
A permanent resident of Darechowk VDC-4, Tripathi, 56, was associated with Chitwan branch of Nepal Red Cross Society.
He also served as chairman of the Community Service Centre at Darechowk and he was also coordinator of the local peace committee at Darechowk.
Meanwhile, the statement issued by the district NC president Jit Narayan Shrestha today has expressed sorrow over the demise of Tripathi.
The statement reads that Chitwan NC has lost a dedicated and active member of the party by the demise of Tripathi. RSS
