KATHMANDU, Oct 31: Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to opt for fresh Constituent Assembly (CA) election rather than revive the CA.

Speaking with Republica after the party’s Central Working Committee meeting on Wednesday, NC leader Dilendra Prasad Badu claimed that the party took the decision unanimously. [break]

“Our party unanimously decided to go for fresh CA election within May-April, 2012,” Badu said.

The party has also decided to drop all the options related to CA revival, Badu added.

The party’s decision has snubbed its senior leaders Sher Bahadur Deuba and Ram Chandra Paudel’s demand who have been publicly lobbying for CA revival.
