FNJ has said that Dahal was beaten up while he was covering the NC-called Sindhuli banda, which was called against the attack on NC cadres by YCL activists.
“District president of Tarun Dal Upendra Pokharel (Ujjawal) attacked me, accusing me of blowing up news related to the NC,” Dahal said. Police said an arrest warrant for Pokharel has been issued.
A meeting between the representatives of FNJ, the CDO, police, NC and Maoist representatives ended inconclusively.
