Most of the 36 big and small hotels of Nagarkot have been packed after arrival of external and internal tourists surged in Nagarkot, said Secretary of the Nagarkot -Naldum Tourism Development Committee, Deepak Lamichhane. [break]
He said one has to book room in advance, as one can not find rooms in hotels of one´s desire in the evening, in Nagarkot. On one hand, the tourism season has begun, and on the other, more tourists have come this year. Most travel agencies book hotels a week ago.
Hotel owners have been competing in giving more facilities to the customers. Even internal tourists have been thronging, said proprietor of the Hotel Elephant Head, Gokul Lamichhane.
Although internal tourists used to return after visiting in the daytime, now, they come with family and stay one night, he said. Hotel owners are encouraged by the increasing number of tourists.
Nagarkot has a capacity for 700 tourists in 36 hotels. Some hotels have added rooms and buildings in view of the increasing number of tourists. Nagarkot is famous for watching sunrise and view of eight mountain peaks including Mt. Everest.
