According to police, Sanu Chaudhary, 29, of Sanhewa, Manpur-2 of the district fed poison to her daughter before consuming poison by herself at around 10 pm Sunday. [break]
Critically sick after taking poison, both of them died while being rushed to the sub regional hospital in Ghorahi, police said. No reason is known yet as to why the mother took such an extreme step.
A police investigation is underway.
Some time ago, a woman in Deukhuri VDC of the same district had killed herself after poisoning her two sons to death.
