While talking to journalists after returning home on Saturday after inviting the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his participation in the National conference of the donor agencies scheduled on June 25, Minister Mahat said that the Indian Prime Minister said that the political stalemate has ended and an outlet for new constitution writing process has now been opened and they are happy regarding 16-point agreement.
'I will try my best to participate in the conference of the donor agencies, otherwise, I will send a senior Minister if I was unable to attend it", said the Finance Minister quoting Indian Prime Minister Modi as saying.
During his three-day India visit, Minister Mahat handed over the invitation letter sent by Prime Minister Sushil Koirala to Indian Prime Minister Modi calling for his participation in the conference, and discussed on various aspects of bilateral relations as well.
Finance Minister Mahat also visited Indian External Affairs Minister, Sushma Swaraj, Foreign Secretary Jaishankar, his counterpart Finance Minister Arun Jaitely, and other high-rank officers of India and held discussions focusing different issues including post quake situation and reconstruction in Nepal.
The Indian side also assured of not leaving any stone unturned in new construction process in Nepal. FM Mahat also held discussion with office-bearers of Association of All Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Minister Mahat said that they have already invited Prime Minister of China to participate in the conference as a special guest. RSS
