At an interaction programme organized here Monday, Mahat charged that the UCPN (Maoist) made new agreements whenever it needed budget, but did not follow the agreements.[break]
More than 20 billion rupees has been allocated in the name of PLA combatants so far, he added.
Mahat further said hundreds of youths lost their lives for the democracy from 2007 BS upto now, they did not get reward but the Maoist has obstructed peace process saying they need this and that prolonging the process.
Nepali Congress leader Mahat stressed on following seven-point agreement in letter and spirit by the Maoist and claimed that more than 6,500 combatants could not be included in the Nepal Army.
Mahat said the Maoist has kept works of peace process pending for the past five weeks, and added those combatants who have met the standards of the NA could be integrated personally.
Mentioning that King Tribhuvan had contributed from his place for democracy, Mahat claimed that the government has no right to remove the statue of Tribhuvan located at Sahid Gate.
He also pointed out to the possibility of bringing no confidence motion against the government when they have clear majority.
In another context, former Minister for Finance, Dr. Mahat said Capital is Capital and Kathmandu should be developed as the capital, but added no one can build house illegally, but one should get compensation if built legally.
