A single bench of Judge Kailash Prasad Subedi gave the verdict of 11-year imprisonment and a fine of Rs 35,000 to the rapist, Bholu Basyal,18, of Bheri Ganga-2.According to the existing laws, six years of jail sentence is slapped for those who rape minor girls and additional five years for raping differently-abled person.
Likewise, the court has also proclaimed that the victim will get Rs 35,000 as compensation.
According to the police, the 15-year-old minor got raped on August 30 in maize field. Basyal, who came from India, lured the girl with sweets and raped her in the maize field.
Meanwhile, Surkhet District Court has fined Rs 1 million to a driver, Dharma Raj Timilsina, for dealing with Indian currency illegally.
Judge Subedi announced the verdict on Thursday.
Driver Timilisina was caught red handed with Rs 500,000 Indian currency.
The bus which he was driving, Na 4 Kha 6662, with the Indian currency was heading from Surkhet to Nepalgunj and was intercepted by the Area Police Office, Chinchule on July 16, 2014.
The Inland Revenue Department had registered the case against Timilsina for illegal dealing of Indian currency.
