Man killed as bikes collide head-on at Tripureshwor

KATHMANDU, March 1: A man was killed in a road mishap at Tripureshwor in Kathmandu at 12: 35 am on Tuesday.  

The deceased has been identified as Badri Ghatani, 34, of Sindhupalchowk district, according to the Metropolitan Traffic Police Division.


The accident took place when a motorcycle, Ba 68 Pa 5285, driven by Ghatani and another motorcycle, Ba 19 Pa 4979, driven by Bishwonath Pyakurel, 35, of Teku collided head-on.

Ghatani died in course of treatment at the Trauma Centre, Bir Hospital.

Similarly, Bibek Prajapati, 26, and Santosh Bhandari, 28, of Makawanpur district were seriously injured in the accident and they are undergoing treatment at the hospital.
