KATHMANDU, July 28: Around 60 garbage trucks carrying waste to the dumping site at Banchare Danda have been stopped by the local residents.
According to the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, the garbage trucks were blocked on the way to Banchare Danda.

The local residents have requested not to bring garbage until the construction of the road leading to the dumping site is completed. From today, the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) office started collecting the garbage that was not collected for a week.
As the construction of the road leading to the Banchare Danda dumping site was still going on, the KMC had stopped the collection and transportation of waste for a week.
