Locals had informed police this morning about Pandey’s body after seeing it lying under a bridge. Pandey had been running a retail store at at local vegetable market.[break]
The deceased have been found to have sustained several wounds in his body including a deep wound in the back head. Police said that an investigation into the case is underway and the body has been sent to Mahakali Zonal Hospital for postmortem.
SP Binod Raj Sharma, Kanchanpur District Police chief, also reached into the incident site.
An investigating officer has suspected that businessman Pandey could have been murdered using sharp weapon while he was on his way to home. His bicycle has also been found nearby his body.
