They have two-stroke lead over pro Deepak Thapa Magar and Nepal No 1 Shiva Ram Shrestha after the completion of second round.[break]
The RNGC pro Khadka, who had carded three-under 69 on Monday, put up consistent performance while Sharma, who shot two-under 70 on Monday, produced the best card of the day on Tuesday at the par-72 Tribhuvan Army Officers Golf Club.
Magar and Shrestha shared the third position with a total of even-par 144. Amateur Tashi Tsering also has equal score to Magar and Shrestha after the completion of second round.
Magar, who submitted a card of one-under 71 on Monday, carded one-over 73 on Tuesday while Shrestha carded two-under 70 on the first day and two-over 74 on the second. Tsering, who shot two-over 74 on Monday, shot two-under 70 on Tuesday.
Leader Khadka shot eagle on the seventh hole and birdies on the fourth, sixth and eighth holes against a double-bogey on the ninth hole to take a turn with three-under 33. He started back nine with a bogey but shot a birdie on the 12th hole to complete back nine with even-par 36.
Another leader Sharma shot birdies on the second, fifth and seventh holes against bogeys on the third, fourth, eighth and ninth holes to take a turn with one-over 37. Sharma played bogey-free back nine to complete it with five-under 31. He shot birdies on the 11th, 12th and 16th holes while he played hole-in-one on the 17th hole of par-three.
Ram Thapa, Umesh Nagarkoti, Rajan Thapa, Jay Ram Shrestha, Ramesh Nagarkoti, Sanjay Lama, defending champion Ramesh Adhikari, Mani Rai, Sachin Bhattarai, Toran Shahi, Dhana Thapa, Dhruba KC, Deepak Neupane, Pashupati Sharma, Gorkha Lama, Yelamber Adhikari, Pravat Rajbahak are the other professionals to make cut for the last two rounds.
In Amateur section, Tirtha Paudel is nine strokes behind leader Tashi Tsering with a total score of 153. Ashish Pariyar is on the third position with total score of 155. Tashi Ghale, Dinesh Prajapati, Neeraj Rana, Bikash Bogati, Surya Manandhar, Wangchan Dhondup and Mandip KC are the amateurs to make cut for the last two rounds of the tournament.
The tournament is sponsored by country´s first professional golfer and Nepal PGA Advisor Ghana Shyam Thapa, who started the tournament to mark his 50th year of professional golf three years ago. It is the third event of the the Surya Nepal Golf Tour 2012-13.
Out of the total cash purse of Rs 300,000, the winning pro will receive Rs 55,000.
