DANG, Oct 12: Three people have died and two others were injured in a microbus (Hiace) accident while traveling from Banphikot, Rukum West, to Tulsipur, Dang. The deceased have been identified as 67-year-old Pabi KC, 27-year-old Prakash KC, and 30-year-old Shashidhar KC, all residents of Banphikot Rural Municipality-5, according to Resham Khatri, spokesperson for Salyan District Police Office.
The accident occurred on Sunday morning when the microbus, bearing registration number Lu 2 Kha 6502, crashed at Chorakhola, Kapurkot Rural Municipality-3, in Salyan. Three people died at the scene, while two others sustained serious injuries. The seriously injured are 47-year-old Khagendra KC and 36-year-old Dina KC, both from Banphikot Rural Municipality, Rukum West.

The injured were initially treated at Rapti Provincial Hospital, Tulsipur, and later referred to Teaching Hospital, Kohalpur, for further treatment. The vehicle reportedly fell approximately 300 meters below the road.
