KATHMANDU, July 3: The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index fell 8.30 points on Friday to close at 2,653.40, weighed down by declines in banking and seven other sectoral indices.
Banking posted the biggest loss, slipping 0.96 percent, while the finance sector gained 1.06 percent. Share prices of 160 companies declined, while 103 advanced.
Nepse up for a fifth consecutive week
Shares of Sanigad Hydro, Snow Rivers and Kalanga Hydro hit the positive circuit. Investors in Upper Lohore Khola Hydropower recorded the steepest loss, with the stock plunging 13.65 percent.
Total turnover stood at Rs 4.41 billion.
