Indian patient gang-raped in Nepal

RAUTAHAT, Jan. 4: Four staffs of Gaur Eye Hospital have been suspended on the charge of raping an Indian woman, who had come for treatment at the hospital last Friday.



Staffs based at the ticketing counter of the hospital Ramayodhya Yadav, Shiva Shanker Mahato, Ramprit Yadav and Ramprabesh Ram Chamar of Gaur municipality-12 were suspended on the charge of gang raping the woman at the hospital based in ward no-12 of Gaur.



The woman from Motihari, India had come to the hospital for eye checkup along with her parents.



Three of the accused arrested by police following complaint by the locals were later released on bail by the Chief of the Hospital Dr Hari Chandra Jha.



Dr Jha said the incident is under investigation.



Meanwhile, a five-member investigation committee has been formed under the convenorship of Nepal Red Cross Society, Rautahat Chairperson Mohammadamjaru Haq.
