Today’s session was affected after legal practitioners pointed out the absence of an acting chief justice as Chief Justice Cholendra SJB Rana has not attended the court due to his health condition. Justices have said that the court cannot function without the chief justice.
Chief Justice Rana has been admitted to hospital after contracting COVID-19. He was admitted to the Armed Police Hospital in Balambu on Monday. But he has not taken leave from work.
