KATHMANDU, May 12: Attorney General Ramesh Badal laid the foundation stone for the Office of the Chief Government Attorney (OCGA) in Patan.
Marking the occasion of Buddha Jayanti today, Badal called the start of the office building's construction a significant achievement.
"The construction of the Patan office building marks an important milestone and will ease our work," he said. "We must complete the building on time and at the same time maintain high construction quality."

Acting Chief Justice of the High Court Patan, Lal Bahadur Kunwar, expressed confidence that the new building would ease operations, as the office faces a heavy workload.
Deputy Attorney of Patan, Shankar Khatri, thanked the concerned agencies, officials, and the Office of the Attorney General for helping secure land, design the building, prepare the DPR, and ensure funding to reach the foundation-laying stage.
The government has begun constructing a modern seven-story building for the Office of the Chief Government Attorney, Patan, at an estimated cost of around Rs 260 million.
Deputy Attorney Generals, Joint Attorneys, Under Attorneys, and Assistant Attorneys from the Office of the Attorney General attended the event, along with the Chief District Officer of Lalitpur, judges and the registrar of the High Court Patan, the Chief of Lalitpur District Police Office, and the President of the High Court Patan Bar Unit, among others.
