KATHMANDU, Dec 26: Former secretary Shanta Bahadur Shrestha passed away on Thursday morning.
Shrestha, who was admitted to TU Teaching Hospital after suffering from pneumonia, died while underground treatment at around 5 am today, according to family sources.

He served in Nepal's civil service from 1992 to 2018 in various capacities including secretary at the Ministry of Health and Population. He was born to a middle-class family in Tanahu.
Bureaucrats have expressed sorrow on the untimely demise of former secretary Shrestha.
