Doctors declared this after reading the medical report of Koirala, who is now in US for health checkup, Koirala's Personal Secretary, Atul Koirala, said on the phone.
Koirala underwent a number of health checkups including chest, tongue and throat x-ray, among others at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in US.
A team headed by senior doctor at the Centre, Dr Manjit S Bains was involved in Koirala's treatment.
Atul Koirala said that the team has suggested President Koirala to report back after six months.
Meanwhile, President Koirala participated in a dinner reception organised by the New York chapter of the party's Nepali Liaison Committee on Tuesday.
On the occasion, he said that the problem surfaced in Tarai region should be resolved through dialogue, stating it was a great achievement to promulgate the new constitution from the Constituent Assembly.
The NC President said that the NC-led government has tabled constitution amendment proposal for the peace, stability and development by maintaining sovereignty, integration and unity after settling the problem peacefully. RSS
