FDF proposes Upendra Yadav as PM candidate

BIRGUNJ, Dec 1: Federal Democratic Forum (FDF), an alliance of two Madhesi and five indigenous parties, has proposed Chairman of Madhesi People´s Rights Forum (MPRF) Upendra Yadav as the prime ministerial candidate.



Addressing a function organized by the alliance in Birgunj on Saturday, Madhesi and indigenous leaders said the new government should not be led by any of three major parties. [break]



Central Member of National Madhes Socialist Party Pramod Gupta said the "so-called big parties" failed to resolve the current political crisis. "Now, a new government should be formed under the leadership of FDF coordinator Upendra Yadav," he added.







Speaking at the same function, Yadav accused the three major parties of hatching a conspiracy not to conduct fresh election. "Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai does not want to hold election and so do the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML," Yadav added.



Chairman of Tamsaling Nepal Rastriya Dal Parshuram Tamang said senior leaders of three major parties have not been working in the interests of the people and the country.
