CHITWAN, Dec 4: Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the development of Chitwan will take place through the proper utilisation of water, forest and land.

Infrastructural development through the proper use of the natural resources will help pave the way to the journey of prosperity of the district, he said at an event organized by Bharatpur Metropolitan City to lay the foundation stone for a walkway and other infrastructures along the Narayani River.

"Narayani, Rapti, Riu Rivers, the Chitwan National Park and religious tourist destinations that are based in Chitwan are good resources for the development of the district." These tourist destinations have also been a model for a national level economic development and they will attract domestic and foreign tourists, Dahal said.

Development of the Narayani River through the sea-beach model would play an important role in the utilisation of tourism, beauty and water resources of the area, the former Prime Minister expressed his hope.
