KATHMANDU, Nov 23: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Sunday jumped 39.92 points to close at 2,600.22 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,560.15 points and escalated around 19 points in the first 19 minutes. The market then inclined gradually to reach day’s high at 2,600.94 points in almost the last one hour. The market corrected by nominal value in the remaining period before it closed for the day.

Only the mutual fund was the single losing group that shedded 0.05 points. Of the 12 gainers, life insurance, non-life insurance, and hotels and tourism surged 325.54 points, 209.70 points and 104.44 points, respectively.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies inclined 7.63 points. The daily turnover inclined to Rs 6.28 billion from Rs 4.68 billion.
Among the individual companies, 237 were gainers while 18 were recorded as losers. NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 656.09 million.
Sagar Distillery Limited was the topmost gainer of 10 percent. Peoples Hydropower Company Limited witnessed the highest fall of 7.65 percent of its market price.
