KATHMANDU, Nov 24: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Monday jumped 50.44 points to close at 2,650.66 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,600.22 points. The index went into gradual escalation throughout the trading hours. Overall, the market increased by 1.94 percent.

All the 13 groups were the gainers in the intraday transaction. Life insurance jumped 644.99 points (4.94 percent), while non-life insurance added 321.14 points, manufacturing and processing added 279.92 points, and hotels and tourism gained 151.01 points.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies inclined 7.84 points. The daily turnover increased to Rs 7.03 billion from Rs 6.28 billion.
Among the individual companies, 215 were gainers while 37 were recorded as losers. Nepal Life Insurance Co Ltd had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 248.15 million.
Jhapa Energy Limited was the topmost gainer of 10 percent. Mabilung Energy Limited witnessed the highest fall of 4.44 percent in its market price.
