KATHMANDU, Feb 3: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Tuesday plunged 12.58 points to close at 2,683.15 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,695.73 points, reached day’s high at 2,709.9 points in first 17 minutes. The market went to a straight fall to hit the day’s low at 2,675.64 points. The market recovered around eight points in the remaining time period it closed for the day.

Three groups were the gainers, with hotels and tourism adding the largest of 134.74 points, followed by manufacturing and processing, and mutual funds. Of the 10 losers, life insurance declined by the largest of 51.21 points.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies decreased 2.45 points. The daily turnover increased slightly to Rs 8.63 billion from Rs 8.22 billion.
Among the individual companies, 66 were gainers while 190 were recorded as losers. SY Panel Nepal Limited had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 592.90 million.
Sanvi Energy Limited lost by the highest of 4.63 percent. Kalinchowk Darshan Limited had its index increased by 10 percent, the highest of all.
