Corona School organized Mini-marathon for a cause

KATHMANDU, March 21: Krishna Khatri and Manju Gurung claimed first positions in men's and women's categories respectively in the Mini-marathon of five kilometers organized by Corona School, Banasthali in Kathmandu on Monday.



The school organized the marathon with the slogan "Say No to Plastic and Yes to Nature". Bhim Chand and Madan Kumar Joshi finished second and third respectively in men's category, while Ratna Maya Tamang and Manju Rana were second and third respectively in women's section.

The winner, runner-up and third place finishers in both the sections received Rs 3,000, Rs 2,000 and Rs 1,000 respectively. Olympian Jit Bahadur KC handed over the prize to the winners.


"We are very glad that Corona School took such an initiative to make this community aware about the usage of plastic," said Manju Gurung, winner of the female category.
