KATHMANDU, Feb 6: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed another corruption case against Sunil Paudel, the former executive director of the National Information Technology Center, demanding Rs 38 million in compensation.

The case was registered at the Special Court on Thursday, alleging corruption in procurement processes conducted by the center in the fiscal year 2017/18. According to the charge sheet, Paudel colluded with Indian citizen Deepak Anand, a representative of F-5 Company for Nepal, to unlawfully award a contract. At the time, Paudel also served as the coordinator of the evaluation committee.
