Nepal is gearing up for the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier scheduled to take place jointly in Ireland and Scotland from July 9-26 and will play two List A matches of the ICC World Cricket League Championship against Scotland on July 29 and 31.
However, poor infrastructure caused by devastating earthquake forced the team to rely on foreign country for the closed camp training. CAN on Tuesday announced a 20-member squad for the closed camp training without selection tournament.
According to a press release issued by CAN, BCCI Secretary Anurag Thakur confirmed through an email that Indian cricket governing body will arrange for the closed camp training.
However, CAN Acting General Secretary Uttam Karmacharya informed that the venue has not been confirmed yet.
"BCCI has not confirmed the venue, but CAN asked to arrange the venue at National Cricket Academy of Bangalore," said Karmacharya, who added that CAN has also asked for the practice matches in India.
After the closed camp training, Nepali team is scheduled to visit England and the Netherlands for practice matches.
Meanwhile, Karmacharya informed that Nepal will play three T-20 International matches against the Netherlands during the tour.
