Baglung youth farmers get 2.4 million grants for animal husbandry

BAGLUNG, June 7: Youth involved in commercial animal husbandry have got Rs 2.4 million grants in Baglung district this year.

The farmers were given the amount to rear cows, buffaloes, goats and pig under the youth-targeted special programme from the District Livestock Office.


Senior Livestock Development Officer Dr Gopal Giri said that the youth farmers are encouraged to commercial animal husbandry after the move run under the youth-targeted programme.

Hari Rana, a farmer who received the grant for animal keeping, said that the amount has helped a lot for them. "The scheme has uplifted our pride to the occupation. But, the amount should be given only to those who can fully utilise it," he added. RSS
