Assumed dead, man returns home after 8 months in Morang

MORANG, Jan 12: A person supposedly dead some eight month ago after falling from a tractor in Morang district has returned home recently, giving a shock to one and all.

The family of Bhupal Adhikari had also performed the 13-day rituals after the police confirmed the death of Adhikari during that time.

Adhikari, also a mentally retarded youth, was earning his wages by working in the tractors and had gone missing in the first week of June 2015 from the district.

According to Police Inspector Ramesh Basnet, Adhikari family had performed the final rites confirming that a human remain found in Shanti Community Forest in Pathari Shanishchare-1 was of Bhupal. Adhikari family had also buried the human remain, it is said.

Police had also registered a case against the tractor driver based on the complaint lodged by the Adhikari family claiming that Bhupal died after falling from the tractor.
